Rachel Buesink
General Manager
Rachel Buesink, general manager, has six years of experience with Express Employment Professionals in Hamilton. In her role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. She provides operational and sales leadership for the team. Her recruitment experience is in placing executive assistants, senior project management, and logistic personnel.
Her strong HR background with Bell Canada and National Wireless has enabled Rachel to deliver a strong track record in motivating individuals to achieve profitable growth through excellent customer service. Working closely with the team, she delivers success to associates and clients. Rachel’s roots are firmly planted in Hamilton. She was born, raised and educated in Hamilton, where she currently lives with her family. Last year she was appointed to the Board of Directors for Catholic Family Services and sits on the Chamber of Commerce HR committee. She also serves as an effective ambassador for the city of Hamilton by sharing and espousing the city’s vision: to be the best City in Canada to raise a child, promote innovation, engage citizens, and provide diverse economic opportunities.
Douglas Ward
Specialized Recruiting Group Managing Director
Douglas Ward, managing director of Express’ Specialized Recruiting Group, has been with Express since 2007. Prior to joining Express, Doug had more than 20 years of experience developing, operating, staffing, and managing health care facilities, including group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and clinics. Areas of care included traumatic brain injury, rehabilitation, developmentally disabled, dementia, geriatrics, and esthetics. Doug also owned and operated ASAP Medstaff, a staffing agency specializing in health care recruiting and placement including administrators, case workers, nurses, and other health care professionals for non-profit and for-profit companies and organizations.
Since joining Express, Doug has focused on providing strategic human capital solutions to his clients with successful placements in sales, sales management, project & product management, accounting and finance, IT, and contact centre senior management.
Doug holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto.
Luisa Deklerk
Senior Search Specialist
Luisa is a senior search specialist at the Specialized Recruiting Group of Express Employment Professionals. Her main responsibilities include sourcing, recruiting, matching, and tracking employer job openings to qualified applicants. Luisa concentrates her efforts in the areas of accounting and finance and sales.
Prior to joining Express, Luisa spent 20 years at Bell Canada with successful progression through management positions within Bell Canada where she gained solid business acumen, experience and proven superior leadership skills while acquiring operational knowledge to move change, manage, and maintain customer focus.
Luisa’'s last role at Bell was associate director - customer care services project team involving strategic planning and project management of the integration of the call centres within Bell Canada’s operations: (customer services, client services, operator services, credit services, direct marketing centre, repair) with long-term objectives of utilizing skill-based routing and potential in-sourcing opportunities.
Jason Mappleback
Contract & Search Specialist
Jason Mapplebeck, contract and search specialist, has served clients as an executive recruiter for five years. His main areas of focus are in engineering and technical recruitment.
The industries Jason most interacts with in finding top professionals careers include environmental and geotechnical consulting firms, building science consulting firms, and building and process automation companies. For trades staffing, Jason focuses on partnering with highly technical niche jobbing shops that look for the top trade people within the required skill set for contract and permanent positions.
Prior to joining Express, Jason worked as a search professional and technical recruiter with a number of nationally recognized search firms. He attended the University of New Brunswick where he obtained a B.A. honours degree in political science.
